i was discussing with amos awhile ago, Silencer , with a strong orbwalker and int stealing skill,life/mana burning skill,gay aoe silence and global silence.

in league , we will definitely see spell users more than DPS, Sand King , Tinker , QoP , Furion , Enchant ,Blah blah blah.
With Last Word and Global Silence. A whole team's combo can be broken. Causing a huge advantage to your team.or using this could help Channeling spells or fragile heros.

For Curse of Silence,great for laning,although this skill is optional when laning.
